Start Fresh in the Spirit
“Start Fresh in the Spirit” calls believers to renew their walk with God by embracing the power, authority, and transformation made available through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Drawing from 2 Timothy 1:6–7, the message begins with a reminder that God has placed spiritual gifts within His people—not marked by fear, but by power, love, and self-control. A fresh start begins when we intentionally fan into flame what God has already deposited in us.
Through Mark 2, the account of the paralyzed man lowered through the roof, we see that Jesus did more than perform miracles—He brought the Kingdom of God. Before healing the man’s body, Jesus forgave his sins, revealing His divine authority and showing that spiritual restoration always comes first. The kingdom Jesus brings is not merely external but transformational, confronting hearts, renewing minds, and producing lasting change.
Scriptures from Acts 1, Mark 1, and Luke 13 emphasize that the Kingdom of God is present, active, and growing—like a mustard seed or leaven—quietly but powerfully transforming everything it touches. This kingdom reality continues today through the work of the Holy Spirit.
In Romans 8:5, believers are challenged to evaluate their mindset: living according to the flesh or according to the Spirit. The Holy Spirit desires to reshape our thinking, actions, and outcomes so that our lives reflect heaven’s perspective rather than earthly limitations.
Finally, the message asks a personal question: What will you see in your challenge? Like the scribes who saw offense or the friends who saw opportunity, our response reveals our faith. When we seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), we position ourselves for renewal, breakthrough, and a true fresh start in the Spirit.
